    Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas (GSSWT) is headquartered in San Antonio, TX and serves more than 15,000 Girl Scouts (girls and adults) across 21 counties in southwest Texas.     The Product Program Assistant (Part-Time) provides administrative support to the Product Program department which operates two seasonal fundraising programs for troops in the GSSWT council area—the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides administrative support to the Product Program department, including entering user information in product program online websites and daily upkeep of product program logs.
    • Provides quality program support to volunteers, parents, and staff, including in-person help, phone calls, and email correspondence.
    • Supports the coordination and preparation of materials for product program volunteer meetings, trainings, and events.
    • Supports the distribution of program materials in compliance with council policies and standards.
    • Assists in the coordination of council booth locations across San Antonio and surrounding areas served by the council.
    • Supports the day-to-day logistics of a seasonal cookie warehouse, including possible weekend coverage during the month of February.
    • Supports staff in assigned project-based work.
    • Maintains volunteer database by entering case information accurately and timely.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council’s mission and goals.
    • Help create a fun and supportive workplace.

    Education/Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Licensure/Membership Requirements: All employees with GSSWT are required to maintain a membership with Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA).

    Who You Will Be Working With: The current Product Program department is made up of a Director of Product Program, a Product Program Manager, a Product Program Specialist, and 2 Product Program Assistants (Full-Time and Part-Time). The Product Program team is built on collaboration, mutual respect, hard work, and (a lot of) fun.
