    ** JOB SUMMARY**

    CSG Consultants is seeking a detail oriented, organized, and experienced General Ledger Accountant with 6+ years of experience. The candidate will be working closely with Accounting staff to close the month and year end, reviewing accuracy of entries to ledger accounts, reconciling all general ledger accounts prior to close, preparing financial reports and assisting the Accounting Director with internal controls and streamlining processes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Ensure proper coding of each account and prepare adjustment journals if needed.
    • Update Fixed Assets.
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements, checking, money market and investment accounts.
    • Oversee month, quarter and year end close.
    • Assist Project Managers on cost proposals spreadsheets such as 10-H forms and AASHTO questionnaire.
    • Compute gross receipts amount on business licenses and provide Accounts Payable to remit payment.
    • File quarterly taxes, Environment taxes, Modified Business Taxes for Texas, Washington Labor and Industries for workers comp and Sales taxes.
    • File Property taxes of all locations.
    • Match receipts to credit card statements. Prepare journal entry and allocate transactions to proper chart of accounts.
    • Develop additional ad hoc reports as required.
    • Perform Accounts Payable function if needed. Timely and accurately processing of vendor and employee invoices in accordance with company policy. Match receipts, verify data accuracy, obtain approval from managers and post invoices to correct chart of accounts and projects.
    • Perform Accounts Receivable function if needed. Apply receipts to proper customer and invoice. Contact clients for short or over-payments. Coordinate with Accounts Payable to cut refund check and draft explanation letter to enclose with check.
    • Perform Payroll function if needed. Review timecard and process payroll.
    • Setup new State for Payroll.
    • Help streamline current system with Accounting Director.
    • Reconcile and close LLC company.
    • Support Auditor in conducting internal and external audits: 401K, ESOP, Financial Statement, General Liability, Auto and Worker’s Comp.
    • Document Accounting procedures and improve accounting processes.
    • May supervise and guide accounting staff.

    ** QUALIFICATIONS**

    • College degree in accounting (required).
    • 6+ years of accounting experience (required).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (required).
    • Proficiency in Excel, especially V-lookups and pivot tables.
    • Experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint or other ERP systems (required).
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting and payroll systems.
    • Accurate attention to detail and office organizational skills.
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to be flexible, and dependable.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast past environment.
    • Decision maker and able to find the root cause of issues.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • General office environment.
    • This is an on-site position. We will consider a hybrid working environment after training and based on performance.
    • Require standing, bending, sitting, walking, twisting and turning.
    • Occasional overtime work is required throughout the year.
    • May require lifting up to 10 pounds.
    • Majority of the time is spent sitting/standing at a desk.

    PAY AND BENEFITS OFFERED

    ** _The compensation for this position is $37.00 TO $54.00 per hour.
