    Summary

    The Electroencephalographic Technologist will conduct neurodiagnostic tests such as EEG test on patients under doctor’s orders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Electroencephalographic Technicians (EEG Technician) are responsible for knowing EEG Technicians scope of practice and working within it.

    Setup, operate and maintain routine and ambulatory EEGs

    Indicates artifacts or interferences derived from sources outside of the brain such as poor electrode contacts or patient movement on electroneurodiagnostic recordings.

    Monitors patients during tests using electroencephalographs (EEG), evoked potential (EP) instruments, or video recording equipment.

    Reports findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation

    Calibrates, troubleshoots, or repairs equipment and corrects equipment malfunctions. Performs equipment diagnostics.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Assists in training technicians or other staff members.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Graduate of Nationally Accredited Neurodiagnostic program is preferred

    Special Conditions of Employment

    Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT)

    Furnish proof of COVID-19 vaccination

    Travel Required

    Able to commute among clinic locations according to work schedule and clinic needs.
