    Job Description

    GENERAL PURPOSE:

    Effectively support daily Human Resources Department functions and maintain personnel records in HR File room.  Act as back-up and assist when needed for HR Assistant functions; triage employee requests as they come into HR. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

    EMPLOYEE RECORD MAINTENANCE:

    • Maintain file room- Active, Terminated, Medical and Training files.
    • Prepare termination files and deliver to the proper HR representative.
    • Update and maintain personnel files, personnel actions and terminations.
    • When needed, prepare & Input all new-hire paperwork and update appropriate systems.
    • Maintain and Stock full-time and temporary new hire packets.
    • When needed, review and prepare Temporary Worker Timecards.  HR Assistant and or HR Generalist will submit for payment.
    • Keep HR Bookshelf updated with all HR forms
    • When needed, check HR box and Suggestion Boxes daily.  
    • When needed, maintain HR boards for ALL companies, all buildings to ensure that we are in compliance with Federal and State Laws.
    • When needed send out postings for Drugs Don’t Work and HR Newsletters.  Deliver to Managers and Supervisors for distribution. 
    • When needed, act as point of contact for Temporary Staffing Agencies for all temporary worker related issues.

    COMPENSATION:

    • When needed- review, verify and prepare temp agency invoices in a timely manner – currently within a five day time frame (weekend days included).

    RECRUITMENT/NEW HIRE PROCESS:

    • Create and Maintain recruitment projects, data entry
    • Initiate new hire paperwork for temporary new hires.
    • Maintain and Ensure Job Descriptions are entered in AX.
    • Update applicant status under recruitment project, send reject letters
    • Schedule interviews; conduct pre-screens

    SUPPORT:

    • Support triage- back-up to HR Assistant
    • When needed, HR Annual Compliance training- assignment may vary.
    • Assist when needed to conduct random drug screens for GLOCK Personnel as needed.
    • External Training classes- Update Courses in AX for all external employee training
    • Other duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type on keyboard, look at monitor and may lift objects in excess of 30 lbs.  

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work environment primarily requires the employee to work inside in a climate controlled administrative office setting and dress business casual in accordance with the GLOCK Employment Policy Handbook.  Employee will work regularly scheduled shifts within the department’s hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends, when needed for special assignments or programs.

     

    POSITION TYPE: 

    This is a full-time position.  Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
