JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a full-time direct hire with one of our clients, a top visual communications firm. The role is remote, however you must be located in the USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining customer facing software applications and internal operational tools.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take ownership of new and existing products and features from design and development through deployment.

• Understand the operations and existing applications to provide tools and automation.

• Work in all areas of software development including requirements gathering and testing.

• Research new technologies and build prototypes for validating ideas and concepts.

• Understand the full solution, system components, and data flows and knows how their portion contributes to the full solution.

• Lead and participate in code, test plan, and implementation plan walkthroughs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of software development experience.

• Proficient with fundamental front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Proficient with server languages such as C#, Java, and Python and frameworks like ASP.Net MVC, Django, Rails.

• Deep understanding of relational database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Experience writing Unit Tests, Regression Tests, and Performance Tests.

• Expertise in core Computer Science fundamentals, including Object-Oriented programming, database design, data structures, and algorithms.

• You are a team player, fast learner and can take charge to get things done.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with cloud environment, AWS or Azure.

• Understanding of the basic machine learning methods and tools.

• Strong UX chops.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
