Meridian International Group has an opportunity for an experienced Information Technology (IT) Manager to join our growing operation. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of technology and systems for a mid-sized, dynamic manufacturing and distribution organization.  

Meridian International Group is the parent company of several operating companies, including GRAFF and Polco Metal Finishing.  Both GRAFF and Polco Metal Finishing have corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   GRAFF is a globally recognized manufacturer and distributor of luxury kitchen and bath faucets, fixtures, accessory products and furniture.   Polco Metal Finishing is an ISO:9001 certified operation providing quality metal polishing and buffing solutions to both domestic and international customers.

The IT Manager will not only lead and manage, but also perform IT functions along with his/her team. This hands-on, dedicated leadership style and information technology expertise will be applied in managing IT for several domestic companies, including GRAFF USA and Polco Metal Finishing, along with some international responsibilities for GRAFF’s global presence.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated results and a progressive career history in the IT field, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. This individual will also have the experience necessary to build out an IT strategy for a rapidly growing company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for defining and executing IT infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture, standards, and management to include disaster recovery, security, systems, servers, monitoring, performance, networks, and storage.
• ERP system management, including maintenance and optimization of system capabilities
• Project management expertise and accountability for prioritizing departmental workflow to meet business goals and objectives.

·         Development and implementation of best practices based upon prior experience, education, and training in the IT field to optimize organizational and departmental operations and goals.

• Develop network troubleshooting methods and root-cause analysis of system issues, breakdowns, and errors to reduce downtime and prevent reoccurrence.
• Build, lead, and develop a team of IT professionals dedicated to serving the technology needs of a multi-entity, global manufacturing and distribution operation.
• Manage outside IT consultants as needed to assist with the design, development, implementation, operation and administration of computer and telecommunications software, networks, and information systems.
• Prioritize short- and long-term objectives
• Perform additional duties, including special business projects, analysis, reporting, and information management, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in Information Technology.

• Superior level of knowledge and current expertise in the IT field with regards to ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis/database management.  

• Leadership skills including staff management, coaching, training, and development experience.

• Project management and a strong organizational skill set highly desired.

• Ethically and confidentially manage company data.

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and the proven ability to both establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the company.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

·         Office 365 Administration

·         Exchange

·         Windows Server and Active Directory

·         DNS/DHCP

·         Knowledge of scripting languages helpful (php, PowerShell, etc.)

·         MS SQL/mySQL

·         Web administration experience helpful (Apache)

·         Advanced Excel experience

·         Router and Firewall management (Cisco)

·         VOIP Phone System Management

·         Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent experience desired, but not required.  
• A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in Information Technology, including some management experience, is required.  Experience within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment highly desired.
