Job Summary

We are seeking a Communications Intern to join our team! As a Communications Intern on the team, you will work across numerous platforms to present a cohesive company voice and message. You will be tracking campaign objectives, and keeping up to date with marketing trends and competitor innovations. The ideal candidate has previous experience in using social media, has excellent communication skills, and can work well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Maintain the content of the website and brainstorm other ideas to enhance the church’s website

Work across numerous platforms, including social media, to fulfill the goals and objectives laid out for the marketing of our ministry

Create and publish content across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Content must reflect the priorities of the church. Work with social media team for graphic design, photography, video, copywriting, and related roles.

Monitor posts, conversations, shares, likes, and all other ways social media action occurs. Engage interactively with the community. Represent the church’s voice. Provide responses that connect people to ministry resources.

Analyze traffic, track results, gauge success, and report findings. Shape content and strategy based on data.

Participate in weekly weekend services

Serve as the lead online ministry host to engage all viewers during our live stream on Facebook and YouTube

Work directly with the Church Administrator to fulfill other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong data analysis skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with social media marketing

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, and video editing software

Familiarity with website content management systems

Compensation This is a part-time position with a salary commensurate with experience, education, and the salaries for similar positions in other churches in our area.
