    ACCOUNTING MANAGER

    Job Description:

    The Accounting Manager at Greenawalt Roofing Company is responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

    Month-End Close: Lead and participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

    Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial data, including bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

    Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget and provide support in financial forecasting.

    Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights into variances from budgeted or forecasted figures.

    Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.

    Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external auditors during financial audits.

    Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline financial operations.

    Ad-Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects as needed, such as system implementations or financial analysis.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is preferred.

    Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with at least 3-5 years in a senior accounting role.

    Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

    Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

    Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
