Job Summary We are seeking a Grill Cook for evenings and weekends to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Grill Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences in our dining restaurant. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
Follow all food safety regulations
Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
Help train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and restaurant procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
Proficiency in food preparation techniques.
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Excellent time management skills to work efficiently
Flexibility to work various shifts
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
