    POSITION DESCRIPTION 

    Perform selected initial and post inspections of designated project dwellings and maintain all program-required documentation.  Performance of a detailed analysis and evaluation of the energy efficiency and energy conservation needs of eligible dwellings and creates detail work orders to address conservation needs of the units.  Use of diagnostic tools and has up-to-date knowledge of energy conservation measures and information to make programmatic installation referrals.  Coordinate with support personnel and contractors to deliver quality conservation services to program eligible households.  Serve as the liaison between Ground Level Solutions, contractors, and customers in matters of work performance, technical information, and work verification.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As necessary, attend classroom, learning lab, and on the job training

    • Successfully complete designated HVAC and Weatherization skills training and testing.

    • Successfully complete all Program and State of Ohio required accreditations and certifications 

    • Assess analyze, and estimate houses to determine the most cost effective and energy efficient conservation measures to be recommended for eligible dwellings.

    • Make necessary electronic or hardcopy notes, comments, and drawings of conditions and special problems of eligible dwellings

    • Perform and document HVAC testing and evaluation

    • Perform and document inspections for problems and hazards regarding health and safety

    • Perform and document dwelling air leakage. 

    • Perform a full structural inspection and anaylsis of the designated dwellings

    • Complete and submit detailed work orders to sub-contractors according to program and code requirements

    • Perform and document final inspections of program homes to verify the integrity and validity of job invoices

    • Complete all required electronic and hardcopy company and program documents

    • Review completed units to determine quality of workmanship, proper installation of materials,

    accurate records of material quantities & job costs, and compliance with program guidelines.

    • Act as the secondary liaison between the customer and the program regarding

    work to be performed, customer satisfaction, work quality, consumer education, and problem

    solving of complaints.

    • Communicates proactively with support staff and managers by providing accurate and timely information on work quality status and job invoicing of units. 

    • Represents a critical on-site presence to subcontractors, and maintains a proper professional approach in all types of interactions.

    • Ensures units are properly completed in a timely manner.

    • Ensures accurate documentation of units is recorded in appropriate electronic and hardcopy formats as required by company and program protocols.

    • Ensures job-site set up’s and clean up’s are performed as required. 

    • Reports installation failures to appropriate individuals, and completes call back orders as needed.

    • Ensures invoices issued for each job are accurate and properly submitted. 

    SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supports the Company field equipment inventory process.

    • Performs necessary maintenance of equipment as needed.

    • Confers with managers and supervisors to determine personal training needs.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent life experience; training in energy conservation and management, supervisory experience.

    • One-year experience as an Inspector II specialist.

    • Must be sensitive to the needs of low-income, elderly, and handicapped residents of the

    community.  

    • Must have dependable transportation.

    • Must be able and willing to travel.
