We are seeking a sharp Legal Intern to assist in-house Legal Department with all aspects of practice as it relates to the operations of the business. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task. Interns will be exposed to a wide variety of practice areas, with primary focus on corporate and employment law.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Assist in contract review, interpretation and drafting of contracts and non-disclosure agreements
- Assist with merger and acquisition integration and due diligence tasks
- Research various areas of corporate matters, including employment law, and evaluate applicability of newly promulgated or pending legislation
- Assist Risk and Underwriting department with due diligence and collection matters
- Assist Human Resources with document preparation and general support
- Draft and track pending simple litigation matters
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Open to 3L or above only (will accept recent graduates)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
- Ability to read and think logically and have a business sense
- Must show proof of being fully vaccinated
