    Job Description

    JOB PURPOSE: The AP Manager will be responsible for managing the full cycle accounts payable process. This includes hiring, training and managing the accounts payable team, communications with senior leadership and the implementation and follow up on all AP procedures.

    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    • Oversee Accounts Payable associates in the daily process of accurately keying invoices, handling invoice exceptions and payment processing
    • Understanding of 3-way matching for inventory and landed cost purposes
    • Develop, maintain and implement training for staff
    • Ensure proper check runs, month-end close, reconciliations and intercompany netting are performed accurately and timely
    • Ensure audit controls are documented, maintained and remain in effective in mitigating risk
    • Assist with external and internal audits
    • Handle escalated vendor and business unit issues
    • Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to continuously optimize and gain efficiency
    • Utilize performance metrics to manage team performance and understand opportunities for improvement
    • Work with accounting teams to resolve accounting and balance sheet variances
    • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Process credit/debit adjustments and refunds
    • Prepare customer vendor statements when needed and reconcile expenses to the general ledger
    • Lead and develop team members
    • Responsible for reviewing all 1099 tax forms

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 3+ years accounts payable experience preferred
    • Accurate data entry and ten-key skills
    • Strong general math skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
