    GSRP Teacher at Caterpillar Corner - Pontiac, MI (Great Start Readiness Program)

    Caterpillar Corner in Pontiac, MI seeks a passionate and qualified GSRP Teacher to join our team! As a GSRP Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our 4-year-old students. You'll create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, implement a research-based curriculum, and provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of each child.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the High Scope Curriculum and GSRP guidelines.

    Conduct comprehensive screenings and ongoing assessments to monitor children's progress and provide targeted support.

    Deliver engaging and effective instruction using research-based practices.

    Collaborate with the Associate Teacher in planning, team meetings, and classroom management.

    Empower the Associate Teacher to take on leadership roles in the classroom.

    Partner with families through home visits, conferences, and ongoing communication.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for grant compliance and licensing purposes.

    Contribute to a positive and collaborative learning environment for both students and staff.

    Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

    Qualifications:

    Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Early Childhood (ZA or ZS) endorsement.

    Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred).

    Minimum Associate's degree in a child-related field with a clear path to obtaining a Bachelor's degree within three years (we can help with T.E.A.C.H. application).

    Teaching experience with early childhood/preschool children, particularly at-risk children (preferred).

    Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.

    Experience with research-based preschool curricula.

    CPR and First Aid certification.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

    Ability to work effectively with diverse families and build strong partnerships.

    Familiarity with the High Scope Curriculum (a plus).

    Benefits:

    Competitive salary range: $41,000 - $56,160 annually.
