    Responsibilities

    Plan and implement high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with GSRP requirements.

    Utilize Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD to support children's learning and development.

    Build positive relationships with children and families.

    Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

    Observe, assess, and document children's progress.

    Conduct developmental screenings and participate in parent conferences.

    Collaborate with teaching partners, administrators, specialists, and families.

    Promote children's social-emotional growth using positive guidance strategies.

    Maintain licensing, GSRP, and health and safety standards.

    Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and inviting.

    Participate in ongoing professional development and required trainings.

    Qualifications

    Applicants must meet Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher qualifications, including one of the following:

    Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Child Development

    Bachelor's Degree with an Early Childhood endorsement

    Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a ZA endorsement (or willingness to obtain)

    Meet all current Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher requirements

    Preferred:

    Experience teaching in a preschool or GSRP classroom

    Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD

    Strong classroom management and family engagement skills

    CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
