BUSINESS ANALYST
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Business Analyst role requires advanced knowledge and understanding of an in-house payroll operating environment, and the corresponding business processes, procedures, and transaction lifecycle associated with a large, multi-entity, multistate company,
- Business Analysts should have experience in identifying, investigating, and troubleshooting non-standard operational / reporting /process issues.
- Provides recommendations or escalates issues to the appropriate area
- Provides regular analysis and/or reporting to support business partners, functional areas, or centers of expertise
- Requires working knowledge of the functional area and/or business areas supported
- Moderate level of complexity in operational / reporting/process and/or analysis function requiring a short to medium-term focus
- Business Analyst should represent the group or participate in projects/initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization
- Provides training to others on best practices, processes, etc. as well as provides hands-on support in the completion of business-as-usual functions
- Resolves issues and problems by conferring with staff, management, other internal departments, and outside contacts as necessary
- Works cross-functionally as required to support strategic initiatives and improve processes
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft Payroll/ PeopleSoft Query (Payroll Tables and structure)
- Requires working knowledge of the functional Payroll area and/or business areas supported
- Organized self-starter with excellent analytical, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently & remotely.
- Detail-oriented, high level of accuracy, and ability to work independently
- Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Good relationship management skills
- FLSA calculations experience
- Multistate experience
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- previous Payroll experience required
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with Workday Payroll is a nice-to-have.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
