PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
JOB OVERVIEW
- Locations: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY
- The client seeks a PR Manager to oversee all PR efforts across the critical Americas market, consisting of the united states, Canada, and Mexico.
- They will work closely with the global pr manager and broader pr team to position (company) as the world's leading cybersecurity company and (company) spokespeople as go-to experts on all things cyber and ai, securing consistent broadcast, national, and trade coverage. (company) is growing rapidly and has a dynamic, fast-paced pr program.

- The role is based in New York, but some flexibility may be offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Develop media relations strategies for each market, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
- Manage 3 PR agencies, helping drive execution, providing feedback, and monitoring results
- Collaborate with the Global PR Manager and global PR team to ensure consistent global strategy and global messaging
- Draft messaging documents
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Create content for press releases, byline articles, and occasionally keynote presentations
- Secure speaking opportunities for executives at high-profile events, such as the WSJ Future of Everything or EmTech Digital
- Oversee the client blog, editing content, and deciding on pitching and publishing strategies
- Monitor awards hosted by publications and edit and approve all award applications
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in public relations, either in-house or at an agency, ideally in software/technology space or other B2B industry
- Strong understanding of the media markets, target publications, and key journalists for the US (required), and Canada, and Mexico (preferred)• Proven success securing consistent national coverage
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Experience working directly with and preparing C-level executives and spokespeople for media interviews, including broadcast
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous ongoing opportunities
- Experience managing corporate social media accounts, including Twitter and LinkedIn
- Support onsite at events with major media presence, such as RSA or Black Hat, or other events hosted by publications such as MIT Tech Review or WSJ
- A strong undergraduate degree is required, all degrees are accepted
