Position: Heavy Equipment Operator -Location: Sarasota/Bradenton, South Florida Job Summary: Operating various power construction equipment to lift, move, and excavate waste, fill materials, and supplies with a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading/unloading materials, and moving items within designated areas while adhering to safety regulations. Qualifications: • Minimum of two years of experience operating heavy equipment, particularly dozers and excavators. • Must reside in the South Florida - Sarasota/Bradenton area. Schedule: • Full-time position with Monday-Friday availability and occasional weekends. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions • Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg. • Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg. • Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information • Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent Required: • Pass a drug Screen and a background check Compensation: $20 - $22 hourly
