Job Description
The role of Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the small kitchen electrics product development team with the overall product marketing strategy by building awareness, creating detailed product launch plans including; digital marketing, paid and earned media, in-store execution and social media content to ensure the successful launch of all new products.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead development of 360 marketing campaigns for new product launches in partnership with cross-functional teams and agencies
- Assist in the development of core product positioning and message for new products, considering value proposition, audience needs, market landscape and other factors
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to create go-to-market plans
- Generate consumer insights and VOC (voice of consumer) into unique selling points and develop strategies to message to those consumers
- Identify, test and scale new marketing ideas and partnerships that resonate with our consumers. Able to think outside the box to achieve business and brand goals
- Collaborate with international teams to create thoughtful and consumer focused online content
- Work closely with the Amazon sales team to create content, address consumer comments, and optimize AMS spend
- Create and execute engaging social media content that generates new followers and increases product and brand awareness
- Work with agencies to develop recipes and lifestyle photography that highlight key product features
- Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling product presentations and marketing plans for online and in-store execution
- Manage relationship with PR agency and media agencies for SKA products

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) is required
- Masters’ degree preferred
- Experience: 3-5 years of product marketing experience
- Proven track record of delivering innovative product and/or brand campaign strategies across digital, social and traditional media
- Knowledge of houseware industry is preferred
- Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet company objectives
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Experience tailoring communications to different audiences and proactively communicating to all levels of stakeholders: executive leadership, cross-functional team members, agency and retail partners, etc.
- Expert storytelling ability, from helping craft core messaging documents and positioning and then creating detailed strategies to bring that story to life
- Social media experience with consumer goods
- Knowledge of latest marketing trends and strategy
- Ability to work in a self-directed, entrepreneurial environment
- Interact with sales team and collaborate with retailer marketing teams
- Experience managing outside agencies and vendors
- History of exhibiting positive energy and contributing as a change agent for the organization: we expect this person to be energetic, resourceful, and hands-on with a strong bias for action
