    Our client is a civil engineering firm based in Houston that has been providing a wide range of infrastructure services to both the private and public sector for over sixty years. They are consistently in the list of top civil/structural engineering firms rated by the Houston Business Journal.

    The Job

    Our client is seeking a Project Manager – Water/Wastewater in Houston, TX. This position focuses solely on delivering the engineering designs associated with water treatment plants. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading teams of design engineers with a focus on treatment plants, lift station design, and water permitting. This role will have the ability to grow into a department manager for the Water/water department and the most ideal candidate will bring clientele and valued relationships to the practice.

    Functions:

    • Train, educate & lead a team of young engineers, helping develop a career path and creating a team environment focused on cross-functional collaboration.
    • Lead pursuits for new clients/projects with new municipal clients.
    • Prepare project submittals, conduct necessary research, and document results of the analysis
    • and research findings
    • Serve as Project Manager in the design review process of our complex water, sewer, storm sewer, paving and drainage systems, major street construction projects.
    • Assist in reviewing feasibility studies, and coordinating with the project teams, to assess costs, project options, and project advantages

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a Professional Engineers’ (P.E.) License in the State of Texas
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Wastewater Design Plants & Waterline modeling
    • Must possess current knowledge of local, state and federal design codes and regulations, industry practices and regulations, and the ability to read and understand construction drawings and legal documents
    • Must possess thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments
