  • Responsibilities

    We are searching for an analytically-minded auto mechanic to help our repair shop’s customers resolve issues with their vehicles’ performance, structure, appearance, and functionality. Our ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers about their vehicles’ performance and maintenance history. You’ll be tasked with inspecting automobiles’ mechanical components, systems, and parts to determine their necessary fixes. You’ll also maintain repair shop equipment and prepare cost estimates. Responsibilities: • Remedy mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems • Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills • Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more Qualifications: • A valid driver’s license is necessary • Preferred education is an associate’s degree from a technical school or relevant automotive program and/or ASE certification • High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary • Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic • Good manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and other equipment needed for vehicle repairs Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
