Responsibilities: • Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process • Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business Qualifications: • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary • High school diploma or GED is required • Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
