    Gallagher CRS is seeking a Claims Manager to join a fast-growing, reputable contractor in the Winston-Salem, NC area. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team and be a critical piece of day-to-day claims operations. The Claims Manager oversees day-to-day claims operations, including claims evaluation, adjudication and customer service in accordance with agreed quality and production standards.

    The ideal candidate must have strong multi-line coverage including general liability, worker’s compensation, auto and property. Litigation experience is preferred.

    CLAIMS MANAGER JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Processes claims in a timely manner and complies with industry fair claims practices and applicable state regulations concerning the processing of claims.
    • Prepares budget and sets goals, while being accountable for the results.
    • Manages staff of claims professionals, which may include claims specialists and administrative support personnel.
    • Oversees company’s litigated matters.
    • Supervises day to day workflow and claims processing.
    • Monitors claims team performance, training needs and counseling.
    • Participates in inter-department business activities, as well as extra-company business activities.
    • Creates reports for specific departmental use.
    • Meets monthly with claims committee to review claims/reserves setting.
    • Maintains good, professional working relationship with superiors, peers, subordinates and other department managers and personnel.

    CLAIMS MANAGER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • 10 years of claims experience.
    • Minimum 5 year’s management/supervision experience.
    • North Carolina Company/Independent Adjuster’s License preferred.
    • CRIS Certification, CCSMP Certification preferred.
    • Maintain CE hours for Adjuster’s License and Certifications as needed.
