Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

We are looking for an experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and have a strong understanding of safety protocols. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team and will have excellent problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and has a passion for welding.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
• Inspect welds and ensure that they meet quality standards.
• Maintain equipment in a safe and orderly condition. Under general direction of the quality control department.
• Performs condition inspections of the tanks, vessels, and pressure vessels.
• Inspects the work of employees and improvement projects; makes recommendations for acceptance or rejection of work.
• Perform tasks in the quality assurance sampling and testing of construction materials for compliance with construction contract specifications.
• Writes inspection and material testing reports and keeps these records organized.
• Makes recommendations on technical specifications as assigned.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable performance and attendance is required.
