EDUCATIONAL SALES CONSULTANT – FLORIDA
The Gallopade Curriculum sales team seeks a high-potential individual to join our expanding organization as an Educational Sales Consultant. The ideal candidate for this role will be a high-energy, self-motivated, team player that brings a proven track record of sales strategy and ability to build relationships with district and school administrators, as well as teachers, to promote print and digital curriculum solutions. Experience with Textbook adoptions and State Review cycles/caravans is preferred.
Gallopade specializes in creating state personalized Social Studies curriculum for the K-8 market. Our latest expansion includes the upcoming Florida Social Studies textbook review and adoption. Gallopade excels at creating a fully customized and aligned curriculum, uniquely designed for each state we work with. What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans for Florida Social Studies for the upcoming Social Studies Textbook review for all public-school districts, as well as strategic planning for charter and private sectors. Leverage existing relationships with Instructional Materials administrators and Social Studies Directors at district and school levels.
Develop strategic relationships with decision-makers at district and building levels.
Meet in person, or via phone/webinar with state, district, and school level educators on sales-generating activities. Deliver winning sales presentations to districts level admins, review committees, and teachers. Help to inform the development of effective sales presentations based on market knowledge. Work closely with Sales Director (located in our home office in Atlanta, GA) What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree and at least 4+ years’ equivalent experience in education or educational sales
Understanding of the education landscape within Florida, including the Textbook adoption cycle and district review process
Experience in Social Studies or ELA teaching and/or sales preferred
Experience using/selling both print and digital curriculum solutions
Proficiency demonstrating digital solutions
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, web-based presentation tools, sales CRM
Position involves frequent overnight travel across the state of Florida
Additional skills needed:
Possess exceptional listening, writing, and presentation skills Are resourceful and motivated to ask questions and solve problems Manage their time effectively Demonstrate commitment to product success with integrity, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude Travel: Up to 50% is required and considered and essential function of the job. Travel includes overnight hotel stays for sales efforts and tradeshows as needed
