Candidates must be within commuting distance of Tampa and be admitted to practice law in the state of Florida. Responsibilities: • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used in proceedings and contract negotiations • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Qualifications: Requirements: • Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Florida. Preferences: • Minimum of one year of civil litigation experience. • Moot court or trial team experience. • Legal journal participation. • Graduation with honors. Compensation: $90,000+ depending on experience
