GALPIN MOTORS IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED DMV ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE TO JOIN OUR TEAM LOCATED IN THE HEART OF BEAUTIFUL NORTH HILLS, CA.

*** DMV (DEPT. OF MOTOR VEHICHLES) AUTO DEALERSHIP AND ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE HIGHLY DESIRED. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB, A DMV BACKGROUND CHECK AND LIVE SCAN FINGER PRINTING IS REQUIRED.

The Galpin Business Office is looking to add a team member to our DMV (Dept. of Motor Vehicles team) to verify car deal transactions and prepare legal transfer of documents to the DMV. If you are a hands-on, roll up your sleeves, hardworking team player, with a do what it takes attitude, we want to hear from you.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

-complete vehicle registrations & titles as required by DMV regulations

-daily e-filing of DMV documents in 3rd party portal

-process payment receipts and issue checks

-post transactions into our accounting system

-verify and calculate correct figures and identify errors and make corrections

-research, investigate, and reconcile accounts

-process transactions for new, used, wholesale and out of state vehicles

-communicate with Customers via phone, email, and in person

-interact with managers across multiple dealerships as well as other business office teams

-Update and reconcile month end accounting schedules

-Other tasks as needed within this team or in other areas of the business office

SKILLS REQUIRED:

-automobile dealership experience highly desirable

-5-7 years relevant work experience preferred

-basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting

-proficient in computer skills and programs

-strong attention to detail, organization and a sense of urgency

-ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-excellent customer service skills

-Strong communication skills both written and oral
