    EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVE

    The Quality Compliance Engineer position is essential to provide support to the Quality, Production, and Supply Chain organizations within Galvion. The main responsibility of this position is to work with internal groups as well as with the supply base to effectively establish, communicate, maintain, and verify conformance to supplied product specifications and Quality System requirements.  This role leads the development of supplier testing and sampling protocol and control plan requirements and leads the effort to address, contain and correct instances of non-conformance.  The person in this position is expected to lead root cause analyses, internally and with suppliers, to ensure that causes are fully understood and effective actions are taken to prevent recurrence. This role leads supplier audits, participates in internal audits, and ensures that follow up actions are clearly established. The role will also provide technical support to suppliers for implementation of continuous improvement activities.

    SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Perform statistical analyses of supplier and internal quality data and provide technical support to ensure compliance
    • Issue, monitor, and drive to closure Supplier Corrective Action Requests
    • Facilitate root cause investigations and implementation of corrective / preventive actions and continually follow up to ensure effectiveness of actions taken
    • Develop and implement supplier certification requirements
    • Enhance and maintain the Supplier Quality Performance Score Card System and work directly with suppliers on improvement efforts
    • Coordinate, schedule and perform supplier quality audits to the ISO 9001 standard
    • Provide guidance to suppliers in developing action plans to meet ISO 9001 requirements
    • Take immediate action to ensure effective containment and replacement of non-conforming material, internally and at supplier sites
    • Provide technical support for Material Review Board activities in the disposition of nonconforming material
    • Work with the Product Team, assisting in the development of inspection and test methods for a wide variety of purchased products and materials
    • Work with incoming quality group to ensure effective verification and testing frequencies

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment or supply chain management group is required
    • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
    • 8D problem solving and root cause analysis skills a plus
    • ISO 9001 internal and second-party auditor skills a plus
    • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office tools needed
    • Experience in the use of SolidWorks is considered a plus
    • Knowledge of injection molding, textiles, pattern making, cut & sew production would be advantageous
    • Experience with ERP programs is considered a plus
    • Highly motivated problem solver
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Military experience is a plus
