GameProScouts is looking for a UI ARTIST for a studio in San Diego.

The UI Artist needs to design mock-ups and prototypes using Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects focused on visual design, feedback animation, user interaction, and game flow.

 • Create appealing, user friendly game assets with a focus on freemium best-practices for current and future games. 

• Prepare and design UI documentation for templates, screen flow, and templates. 

• Collaborate with the art leads to provide to ensure visual design consistency across current and future games. 

• Work with engineering and producers to ensure artwork is accurately and consistently represented in the games. 

  QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years practical art/design experience working in interactive media and/or mobile games.

• Sketching, wire-framing, story-boarding, and prototyping abilities on paper and screen. 

• Solid understanding of UI design best practices and interaction design fundamentals. 

• A strong understanding of UI conventions and challenges for the mobile and other emerging platforms. 

• Ability to translate flowcharts and wire-frames into fun, usable, visually polished UI systems. 

• Strong desire to collaborate with producers and designers outlining user interaction and screen flow. 

• Expert knowledge of Photoshop; strong skills in Illustrator & After Effects. 

• Previous experience with motion graphics, special effects, and prototyping tools is a plus.
