    POSITION: Human Resources/Finance Specialist

    REPORTS TO: Manager, Human Resources (secondary report to GSC Program Manager)

    LOCATION: Centennial, Colorado

    STATUS: Full Time

    SECTOR/DEPT: GSC Antarctica

    Currently seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES/FINANCE SPECIALIST - Performs a variety of recruiting and follow-up HR duties in accordance with standard procedures with minimal supervision and guidance. Responsibilities include the recruiting, hiring, tracking and assistance in PQ/Deployment of GSC contract personnel. Also responsible for payroll, invoicing, and other financial responsibilities. Provides support to the Manager, Human Resources and GSC Program Manager as needed.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provides information to managers, supervisors, and associates regarding potential candidates and new hires.

    Assists in the management of the applicant tracking system by screening applicants.

    Process new hire paperwork and initiate background tests and drug screens once the hiring manager has initiated an offer.

    Review background and drug screen results and alert the Human Resources Manager of areas of concern.

    Maintain communication by following up with associates on a weekly basis to check in on progress of meeting deployment requirements and answer questions that may arise.

    Ensures all necessary documentation and hiring paperwork is properly maintained.

    Maintains accurate and complete personnel files and records.

    Responsible for managing the hiring process for part time employees in Antarctica.

    Understands and complies with all GSC and ASC Policies and Procedures.

    Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with management policy.

    Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace program and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

    Operates as the GSC Safety Lead by collecting, auditing, and maintaining all safety records while also facilitating workers compensation data collection, SHIELD reports, and Early Incident Notification Forms.

    Enters weekly payroll into online payroll system.

    Processes expense reimbursements, per diem, contract complete bonuses and other business expenses as needed; submits to Corporate Accounts Payable.

    Bills weekly labor costs and expenses (per diem, contract complete bonuses and other business expenses) into subcontract invoice entry system.

    Reconciles payroll & billing between financial systems.

    Tracks actual/projected labor hours weekly against budget and identifies variances.

    Provides analysis/forecasting of various costs as needed using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue and other data sources.

    Tracks billable and non-billable hours.

    Offers support to associates with payroll questions or issues liaison to payroll/benefits provider.

    Assist GSC Program Manager with financial and other performance measurements for the program.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

    CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: N/A

    EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years administrative support experience required. Human Resources experience preferred. Strong attention to detail. Ability to effectively multi-task. Process oriented and able to manage multiple tasks/projects. Strong knowledge and understanding of computer programs to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Customer service focused. Strong communication skills.

    OTHER: US citizenship or permanent residency required.
