The Installed Base Services Business Group combines the nuclear reactor design and construction activities and the products and services activities necessary for the maintenance, operation, modernization, and improvement of power plants. We specialize in remote tooling and robotics for inspecting nuclear components. Our group performs work in both Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and Boiling Water Reactors (BWR) environments, inspecting components with simple to sophisticated tooling and robotic equipment. We work closely with engineering and other technical teams to develop specialized Non Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques and tooling to perform customer required examinations.
The ideal candidate is a driven, positive and highly dedicated individual with demonstrated technical depth in the application of NDE with the ability to identify, clearly communicate and execute in a manner consistent with an program administrator.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degreed Engineer or equivalent work experience
- 15+ years of experience working with NDE projects with emphasis in specialized NDE techniques
- Experience in developing and implementing training material to support personnel certification
- Proven experience in leading collaborative teams – not just individual contributor
- A well-developed personal and professional network in the NDE community, nuclear preferably
- Ability to make succinct critical decisions when faced with uncertainty
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- Minimum of 15 years of NDE industry experience
- Significant experience with all NDE techniques and applications (UT,PT,VT, MT & RT) – RT basic experience necessary
- Certified NDE Level III in at least one NDE technique
- Extensive knowledge of ASME Code
- Strong technical writing abilities with NDE procedure preparation experience
- Experienced with NDE qualification/demonstration requirements
- Proven people / team management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Experienced in developing and defining deliverables for the qualification program
- Proficient in project status reporting with strong presentation skills
- Results driven self-starter requiring little direct supervision
- Strong sense of integrity, professional demeanor and willingness to consistently learn and engage in continued professional development
- Proven ability to complete project deliverables on schedule
