  • Responsibilities

    The ADHD MSL will be responsible for developing and maintaining broad relationships with key stakeholders. The position requires good knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and scientific publications, competitors' medical and marketing activities and the reimbursement environment, relevant to the use of new FDA approved treatment for ADHD Candidates are presumed to have extensive knowledge and experience in this role with a proven track record of success. Additionally, candidates will have worked within the Biopharmaceutical industry in a Medical Affairs position.

    Required Skills

    • Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders regarding disease-state and product-specific information within assigned geography
    • Provide field-based scientific exchange and communication of FDA approved and pipeline products
    • Serve as primary liaison with investigators interested in developing and conducting investigator-initiated research
    • Educate payers (Health plans, Medicare, Medicaid), key decision makers (P&T committee members, opinion leaders, pharmacists), agents (specialty pharmacy, GPO, and PBMs); differentiate products based on clinical and economic data to support formulary decisions
    • Document and forward reports of adverse events according to Corium’s policy to ensure safe and effective use of Corium’s products
    • Attend regional and national congress meetings and provide support for Medical Affairs activities and scientific sessions
    • Generate and routinely communicate field medical insight
    • Stays current on market issues/trends and product knowledge in therapeutic areas that are relevant to Corium business.
    • Cross-functional collaboration and alignment with internal stakeholders including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Clinical Development groups
    • Ensure compliant practices and adherence with all legal and regulatory requirements and Corium SOPs
    • Demonstrated ability to clearly impart technical information allied to good written and oral communications skills
    • Excellent inter-personal skills with a high level of sensitivity relative to the needs of patients and health care providers
    • Ability to develop/maintain an effective professional network
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Good problem solving skills and ability to exercise sound business judgment
    • Initiative and execution orientated with evidence of tenacity and perseverance
    • Strong ethics with good attention to detail and commitment to excellence

    Required Experience

    • Bachelors Degree required.  Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred.
    • Neuropsych (especially ADHD) experience strongly preferred
    • Relationships with KOL’s in child psychiatry preferred
    • Proven track record of success
    • Experience with academic institutions, IHS, hospitals preferred
    • Experience with clinical trials and patient recruitment preferred
    • Experience making scientific presentations
    • Frequent overnight travel required
    • Previous MSL experience required (minimum of 2 years); 5+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry
