    The primary duty of the Technician Apprentice is to install, repair, and upkeep commercial doors, such as garage doors, sliding doors, and rolling steel doors. This technician's work encompasses a broad range of commercial properties, from warehouses to retail stores and other businesses. Garage Door Doctor holds its technicians' growth and progress in high esteem. Therefore, the company provides continuous training and education to keep its technicians up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in the industry, presenting potential avenues for career advancement. Responsibilities: • The job environment is fast-paced and results-oriented • Install new commercial doors according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes • Repair and maintain existing commercial doors, including replacing broken or worn parts and adjusting door functions • Troubleshoot and diagnose door issues and provide repair recommendations • Perform routine maintenance on commercial doors, including lubrication and cleaning • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment • Keep the work area clean and organized • Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on new products and techniques • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: • We are looking for someone that has high energy and a great attitude. With that, we can help train you to win! • High school diploma or equivalent required • 2+ years of experience as a commercial door technician preferred • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required • Experience with various types of commercial doors, including garage doors, rolling steel doors, and sliding doors preferred • Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings • Strong customer service skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation: $38,000 - $41,000 yearly
