PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORIDNAOR (CHILDRENSWEAR)

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY …. The Product Development Coordinator is a full-time position that helps to facilitate the sourcing, development, testing and color approval process for fabrics and trims under the Product Development division. This position is cross-functional, working in tandem with design, color, production, compliance, costing and brand teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:  

·        Assist in reviewing trims for color approval and communicate color comments to mills/production team

·        Coordinate and manage all fabric, trim and full garment testing for each season

·        Order, track and ensure timely delivery of all trim samples for buyer meetings

·        Communicate with suppliers throughout the fabric and trim development process and throughout bulk production to ensure all compliance requirements are met

·        Keep detailed records of comments, approvals, and status in PLM

·        Assist with brand development as needed, including hanger and labeling sourcing and development

·        Provide costing team with trim and new fabric development costs

QUALIFICATIONS:  

·        Entry-level to 3 years relevant work experience in textiles/product development/color analysis

·        Excellent verbal communication and writing skills (including contact with overseas fabric mills and suppliers)

·        General understanding of sourcing, development, and production process

·        Knowledge of color theory, color matching, and printing techniques preferred

·        Proficient in Excel, Word, PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator

·        Experience in working with UL/CTL is a plus

·        Must have a strong sense of urgency and strong ability to pay close attention to detail

·        Must have excellent time management and organizational skills

Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
