    Our seasonal Garden Crew at The Henry Ford are responsible for keeping our exterior beautiful. We maintain the grounds of the entire Dearborn campus, which includes Greenfield Village. If you enjoy gardening or outdoor work and want to contribute to our meaningful mission, please apply!

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Maintains tree and shrub beds by edging, cultivating and mulching on a regular basis.
    • Plants and maintains flower gardens.
    • Contributes to effective team management of all problems, issues, and opportunities.
    • Acts as a team player and provides expertise within the team and with other teams as appropriate.
    • Works independently without supervision at times

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Valid driving license
    • Some previous experience in gardening is preferred

    Physical Requirement/ Environment:

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme and severe weather in all seasons
    • Ability to work in non air-conditioned interiors
