The Wastewater Technician will serve as the general operator of the wastewater treatment system and to carry out daily duties to ensure the system is kept in good working order, as well as being responsible for the general sanitation and building and ground maintenance duties throughout the plant.

Essential Functions:

· Operating the Wastewater Treatment System, GEM (Gas Energy Mixing) Systems

· Complete preventive maintenance and other routine calibrations on the system

· Experience with Hazmat chemicals and the personal protection equipment

· Keep wastewater treatment system and surrounding areas clean

· Monitor all daily analytical parameters to ensure equipment is functioning properly

· Responsible for chemical inventory for the wastewater pretreatment process

· Optimizing operation / process of the wastewater pretreatment system

· Review and revise standard operating procedures for the wastewater treatment system

· Responsible for operation and discharge of the wastewater system

· Complete water testing with a 3rd party lab

· Maintain and operate the water sampler machine

· Complete general building and grounds duties

Education & Experience

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· 1 year experience with wastewater systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Competencies

· Intermediate Computer Skills, PLC experience preferred

· Familiar with Food Safety procedures

· Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals

· Willing to train and obtain a Class K License for wastewater treatment

· Hazmat Training preferred but willing to provide training

· Legally able to work in the US

· Able to speak and write fluently in English, bilingual a plus

Physical Demands

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs

. Stand or sit for long periods of time

.Work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time

.Occasionally bending and kneeling

Work Schedule:

· Monday - Friday (6:00 am to 2:00 pm)

Compensation:

· 25.00-$30.00 / hour
