    Job Description

    LA-based Accounting firm with a large number of Audit and Review engagements is looking for an Auditor to plan, manage and execute external financial audits of privately held companies under the supervision of the audit manager. The ideal candidate is capable of performing audit program(s) requirements for different audit sections from start to finish. Prior experience with audits of Healthcare companies and familiarity with the operations / processes/ policies of the healthcare industry is a major plus, as a majority of our clients operate in the Healthcare sector.

    FINANCIAL AUDITOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing audit program steps. These include: testing the general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
    • Evaluates the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures by examining transactions, documents, records and reports, and observing procedures
    • Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing and analyzing items and collateral to documentation.
    • Analyzes data for the purpose of identifying errors and inconsistencies in client data.
    • Prepares audit working papers, which document the data tested and summarize the findings of audit procedures, in accordance with professional standards
    • Assists in recommendations and writing financial reports documenting the results of the audit

     

    DESIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Licensed CPA highly preferred

    · 3-5 years audit experience (non-public companies)

    · Knowledge of GAAP / GAAS and financial reporting guidelines

    · Excellent written, verbal, analytical and inter-personal skills

    · Working knowledge and understanding of Healthcare industry preferred; experience conducting Audits of healthcare entities a major plus.

    · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field.
