Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, professional paralegal to join our litigation team. A successful candidate must have 2-5 years of prior law firm experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role, two years of which should be in the litigation practice area. Experience in dealing with complex discovery issues and managing large discovery projects as well as trial preparation in state and/or federal court preferred.
Our attorneys work closely with our paralegals to create a dynamic problem-solving team. Paralegals have an opportunity to apply their personal skill set while gaining hands-on knowledge of case facts and strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Communicate with clients;
Schedule and maintain appointment calendars;
Schedule and arrange meetings including travel arrangements,
Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing;
Organize documents;
Organize electronic communication;
Forecast attorney demands, responsibilities, and work-flow involving multiple on-going cases
Skills and Requirements:
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
High level of professionalism, responsibility, and confidentiality;
Type 65 wpm;
Ability to multi-task
Ability to manage a high volume of email communication
Ability to handle multiple interruptions throughout the day and reprioritize
