Seeking an experienced and talented Copywriter to join our Performance Creative team. The Copywriter will be an expert in creating successful direct-response marketing copy that is conceptually rich and performance-driven to achieve marketing/strategic goals and maximizes results, while also aligned with client brand, tone and voice requirements.
The ideal candidate has an engaging way with words, a deep understanding of digital performance marketing and knack for communicating across digital mediums and to differing audiences. You are driven by understanding the psychology behind what resonates with consumers to take an action, leverage these principles and apply this to creative messaging. Strong copy editing skills, the ability to multitask, and laser-sharp attention to detail are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Head of Performance Creative
Develop response-centric copy for digital performance creative assets that meet the desired needs of client and end user needs. Assets may range from display banners, social media content, landing pages and dynamic templates.
Understand data to quickly adapt to market changes and optimize content through rigorous testing and iteration to ensure continue evolution of ad campaigns
Work collaboratively with creative team members and in a cross-functional environment to ideate and develop engaging copy for online marketing assets
Work directly with various department stakeholders to obtain key information and produce copy that meets the team’s business objectives
Ability to understand an assignment from a creative brief and apply to digital creative, while ensuring it meets strategic goals and objectives
Manage all assigned copy projects through to completion, including proofing assets and serving as the final pair of eyes on all copy to ensure accuracy and verify that all elements and requested changes are accomplished before submission to the Head of Performance Creative or the client.
Proactively conduct research and fact-checking as needed
Create and complete effective and accurate copy solutions within deadlines.
Possess knowledge of standards, best practices, and emerging trends within the advertising industry, and contribute recommendations which will positively impact our customers’ business and our own.
Know the copy standards and legal requirements associated with each client.
Work closely with team members and cross-functional teams to discuss workload, multiple priorities, requirements, and timelines.
Leverage direct response best practices to help our clients reach their strategic and targeting goals

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience in advertising, communications, journalism or English preferred
3 years of professional digital copywriting experience in ad/marketing at an Agency or Client Side; Direct Response experience is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Word; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred
A portfolio of work that demonstrates versatility, creative thinking and results
Expertise in performance driven copy and ability to employ provide direct-response tactics is a must.
