Since 1985, Cocoplum Appliances has served homes across Vermont and New Hampshire with premium appliance sales, delivery, and repair. Our in-house service department is growing — and we’re actively seeking experienced Gas Technicians to join our tight-knit field team.

This is a hands-on role for mechanically minded pros who thrive on independence, customer satisfaction, and doing things the right way.

Why Work in Gas Appliance Service?

Homes depend on skilled gas technicians, but qualified talent is in short supply.

If you're licensed and detail-oriented, your skills are in demand — and well rewarded.

No overnight or on-call work. Just honest hours, good pay, and a supportive team.

    What You’ll Do

Install, inspect, and service a variety of gas-powered appliances (ranges, dryers, cooktops, etc.).

Conduct proper gas hookups, leak checks, and pressure testing.

Diagnose system-level failures and determine corrective actions.

Document all services performed and ensure proper parts/labor are billed.

Interact with homeowners and builders professionally and courteously.

Maintain safety and code compliance at all times.

Travel locally in a company vehicle to customer sites.

    Compensation & Perks

Starting Pay: $25–$35/hour depending on experience & licensing.

Company van, fuel card, and tools provided.

Monday–Friday work schedule, with optional Saturday overtime.

No on-call shifts or overnight routes.

Growth potential into lead tech or specialist roles.

    Benefits

    Health, dental, and vision insurance

Paid time off & sick days

    401(k) with company match

    Branded company uniforms

    Ongoing training & certification support

    Qualifications

Valid Gas Technician license in Vermont or New Hampshire.

Experience with LP and/or natural gas appliance installation and repair.

    Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Able to lift and maneuver heavy appliances safely.

Comfortable working in tight spaces and customer homes.

    Strong communication and time management.
