Our client, an independent oil and natural gas company, is seeking a Gas Marketer to support its natural gas operations across key onshore U.S. regions, including Texas and Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating gas sales contracts, optimizing gas flow and revenue, managing nominations, and maintaining compliance with operational requirements. This is a hybrid Dallas-based role (3 days in office) offering competitive compensation and full benefits, plus ideal opportunity for an experienced Scheduler looking to transition into a Marketer position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and execute daily, monthly, and term gas sales contracts
- Optimize production revenue and minimize imbalances, penalties, and cash outs
- Coordinate nominations and gas flow with field personnel, pipelines, and midstream companies
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and pipeline capacity to inform business planning
- Maintain and reconcile sales data, volumes, and transaction records using marketing software
- Investigate pipeline capacity for new drilling and coordinate well connections
- Build and maintain strong customer and industry relationships
- Support legal and compliance efforts as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with O&G production operations
- 3+ years' of experience with gas scheduling or marketing, onshore/ Southeast TX market preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and Production/Marketing software
