Position Overview

American Energy Resources is hiring Gas Meter Installers in Greer, South Carolina.

This is a hands-on field role focused on installing and replacing gas meters. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, using tools, and staying active throughout the day.

Paid training is provided for motivated candidates who are looking to build a career in the utility industry.

Pay & Advancement

Training pay begins at $20.00 per hour

Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours

Weekly performance incentives

Advancement opportunities into higher technician levels after training and qualification

Training

Training is provided locally before transitioning into full field work.

Responsibilities

Install and replace gas meters

Perform outdoor field work in varying weather conditions

Follow all company and job site safety procedures

Work as part of a technician team

Maintain a professional and safety-compliant appearance

Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license required

Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation

Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check, drug screening, and driving record review where permitted by law.

Preferred Experience

Helpful but not required:

Utility or gas work

Construction or field service

Plumbing or mechanical experience

Entry-level candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
