Job Functions, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

GIS’ research department, Louisiana Research Center, is looking for a talented medical professional to work in clinical research. We don’t require experience in clinical research, just the desire to learn and work with other great team members. Louisiana Research Center is looking for patient-focused, talented medical professionals who want to help advance medical science for us all. We’d love to meet any interested CMAs.

This opportunity is for a CMA 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday (NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS).

What you will do in this role:

Care for your patients and support your team members.

Manage research protocols by identifying study-related elements, evaluating patient eligibility, developing study tools, data collection, data entry, and reporting on study participants within study timelines.

Assist with patient recruitment and enrollment for clinical research studies for participants that fulfill existing eligibility criteria.

Manage multiple projects and report data regularly.

Develop and compose professional correspondence with outside representatives and sponsors.

Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, storage, and shipping.

Requirements: · Certified Medical Assistant with a current certification.

Previous phlebotomy training or experience

Basic computer, data entry, and EMR skills

Excellent communication skills
