    Senior Project Manager

    The Senior Project Manager is an internally-focused role, managing the agency process on all projects to maximize agency efficiencies, profitability and quality Senior Project Managers may also manage junior Project Managers. Additionally, Senior Project Managers ensure integration, collaboration, quality and accountability across the agency. A successful Senior Project Manager is also a facilitator, team builder and solutions-driven. Senior Project Managers develop and grow effective collaborative partnerships; provide leadership, cross-functional solutions, information and guidance.


    The successful candidate:

    • Leads, mentors and potentially supervises others; manages or delegates the management of projects.
    • Identifies solutions for process improvement.
    • Is capable of managing project challenges and interfacing with senior agency staff.
    • Works with other internal partners to plan workload, resources and manage scope from a big-picture perspective.
    • May specialize in one media (SME).
    • Owns workflow from inception to completion on assigned accounts, managing resources for deliverables.
    • Opens jobs in agency system, reviews and inputs established project budgets into agency system, and monitors the day-to-day execution of projects.
    • Creates of project plans based on information provided at project onset and revises project plans as necessary.
    • Shepherds work internally; ensuring and obtaining all appropriate internal approvals.
    • Maintains constant communication with all internal agency departments regarding project status and progress; ensuring that the team has what they need to complete a task and is clear on deliverables and next steps.
    • Raises flags as issues arise in effort to lead successful resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
    • Monitors project budgets and calls attention to scope creep, risk and budget overages.
    • Ensures cross-department integration and fosters collaboration.
    • Ensures adherence to the defined workflow and quality control process.
    • Collaborates with Creative team to manage creative workload.
    • Requests confirmation of terms for usage rights and licensing.
    • Schedules internal meetings (right people at right time) related to active projects.
    •  Disseminates information as needed if key participants are unable to make internal team review.
    • Instructs studio to post files to vendor.
    • Schedules and conducts Hindsight meetings as needed.

    Qualifications include (but are not limited to)

    • BS or BA degree in marketing, communications or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of advertising agency experience.
    • Very strong organizational skills, with the understanding that full accountability is demanded by senior management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communicator, optimistic outlook, positive attitude, outgoing personality.
    • A strong work ethic with the self-motivation needed to exceed expectations.
    • Willingness to step out of assigned role to assist other team membersDemonstrated strategic thinker with proven ability to lead business.
    • The drive and ability to work on multiple assignments under deadline pressures, while producing quality results that meet our client's marketing and communications objectives.
