Gatesman is looking for an organized and energetic team member to act as an Account Supervisor and join its Public Relations team.  Gatesman PR is a premier public relations practice in a period of great potential and growth. To enable the agency to continue its trajectory forward, it needs the committed expertise of a talented and passionate team member with 5-7 years experience (agency preferred) in media relations, influencer relations, social media and account management who can handle day-to-day account needs, while demonstrating forward-thinking, sound judgment and decision-making skills, mentorship to junior-level staffers and peers, and who can provide proactive counsel and direction in all facets of public relations.

• Serve as a primary client contact with the proven ability to manage and drive multiple client account programs and teams delivering strategic value
• Plan, develop and advise clients on integrated and measurable public relations and social media programs
• Advise clients on positioning and messaging
• Demonstrate success with a variety of public relations efforts including external communications planning, internal communications, media relations, issues management and media relations
• Demonstrate success with social media techniques
• Multitask across multiple client accounts and projects under deadline
• Ensure that key milestones and projects are on track, within prescribed timeliness and on budget
• Develop and nurture media and blogger relationships with national, regional and trade media
• Identify and quickly grasp new technologies and account duties
• Directly manage day-to-day team activities on 2-4 accounts with accountability to PR Director
• Supervise and mentor mid-to-entry level team members
• Represent Gatesman in a professional, ethical and enthusiastic manner
• Work with Account Directors or Partners to manage client budgets and forecasting

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in communications and marketing
