    Our Marion, IL location has a full-time opening for an experienced outside Sales Professional for the the Southern, IL area.

    This position is responsible for the sale of new/used construction equipment and value-added services. Requires basic knowledge of construction equipment, excellent computer skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and strong interpersonal skills. Candidate must be a self-starter, enjoy a challenge as well as a team player.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Compact New and Used Equipment Sales will include (but not limited to): Skid Steer Loaders, Track Loaders, Excavators, pavers, rollers, Walk behind Products and attachments.

    Identify, develop and maintain customer relationships with the current and prospective market- Customer deliveries may be required.

    Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, preparing contracts and recording/ closing orders and lost sales reports.

    Growing and developing customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share

    Meeting or exceeding Company targets for units, dollars and gross profit.

    Managing designated territories and customers to maximize our presence on equipment purchases.

    Daily sales call reports and updates with: Key Actions, associated action item notes.

    Working with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs for all industries served.

    Providing on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support.

    Maintaining industry contact database for designated territory

    Making frequent opportunity calls to generate new customers -This will include "cold calling".

    Other duties as assigned

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The job requires constant interaction with internal staff and the public. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents.

    Must be able to safely operate, mount/dismount, hook-up/secure/transport equipment, and lift 40 lbs.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    Prefer 5+ years direct sales experience in construction equipment or related sales field.

    CDL license

    REPORTS TO: Territory Sales Manager
