Responsibilities: • Installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial garage doors and their components, including electric motors, spring systems, and door openers • Identifying issues with malfunctioning garage doors and investigating the root cause of the problem • Adjusting and replacing broken or worn components like springs, tracks, and hinges • Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure all garage door components operate smoothly • Providing prompt responses to customer inquiries and delivering exceptional customer service Qualifications: • To be considered for the role of Commercial Garage Door Technician in Austin, TX, US, you must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Proficiency with power tools and the ability to use them effectively is required • Strong customer service skills and experience in customer interactions are essential • The capability to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds and to reach and lift overhead is necessary • Following instructions accurately and being punctual are important qualities for this position • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work from a 12’ step ladder are required • Welding experience, specifically in MIG & Stick welding (certification not mandatory), is a plus • Operating Fork and scissor lifts, as well as working with various tools like grinders, skill saws, chop saws, jig saws, and levels, is part of the job • Problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities are needed • The flexibility to work in extreme weather conditions and challenging environments is a must Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
