GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Senior Data Engineer to join our Team located in the Boston area. Candidates must be able to travel onsite for this opportunity. Candidates must have strong experience with Python AND SQL.

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading two other data engineers under a larger data engineering team.
• Ensure that the code quality and progress of all engineers are meeting the needs of the Director of Data Engineering.
• This position will require a high level of independence and the ability to problem-solve.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of development and design
• 5+ years of Python and SQL
• Experience working with ETL
• Experience leading a team of data engineers
• Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Team-oriented individual
• Consulting experience/working with stakeholders a major plus
• Startup experience a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At GCOM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $75,900 to $155,100.
