    Job Description

    Gear Patrol is currently seeking a full-time BRANDED CONTENT STRATEGIST to join our growing Commercial Team. Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this position will lead coordination and execution of submissions in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to drive advertising revenue growth. 

    This role will be pivotal in the Commercial Team’s revenue efforts, by supporting the Sales team in crafting creative and strategic RFP submissions that align with Gear Patrol’s brand sensibilities and advertiser objectives across digital, email, social, video, and experiential channels. This role requires someone with a unique skill set that has experience in ad copywriting, pitching proposals, and is a creative storyteller with proven sales drive.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze RFPs and act as primary stakeholder in brainstorm sessions in tandem with sales to speak to clients’ KPIs, historical performance/spend

    • Ideate compelling campaign narratives to drive revenue, maintain profit margins, and achieve partner goals and satisfaction

    • Conceive new and engaging ways of communicating brand and product stories across media formats

    • Draft proposal presentations for RFP submissions in collaboration with Sales

    • Work alongside Sales, Creative, and Client Services to drive the voice and tone of Gear Patrol Studios and create proactive ideas informed by feedback and data

    • Contribute writing to other areas of business (including media kits, website and user experience copy, and more)

    • Familiarity with internal offerings, competitive landscape, and industry native trends to identify new creative approaches and opportunities for our clients

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4-6 years of experience in copywriting, digital advertising, and/or branded content strategy

    • Published writing samples and portfolio required

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Passion for storytelling and understanding of content marketing

    • Strong copywriting skills

    • Solutions-first mentality, deadline oriented, and strong attention to detail

    • Ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

    • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Agency experience a plus

    • Media, advertising, or direct-response experience a plus
