TITLE OF POSITION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Staff Accountant position has analysis responsibilities that include support of the management team in a variety of operational decisions. The Staff Accountant engages in financial analysis in such areas as budgeting, engaging in cost / labor analysis, planning, and reviewing operational performance. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         The Staff Accountant must have experience as an accountant with Hospitality industry experience a plus

·         The Staff Accountant must have excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·         The Staff Accountant must have hands-on experience with QuickBooks accounting software as well as advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables

·         The Staff Accountant must have experience with general ledger functions, strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

·         The Staff Accountant must have a BS in Accounting, Finance or related field with additional certifications such as CPA or CMA a plus
