Job Description

Our client, who is a leading identity management company located in Orange County, Southern California, is seeking a QA Test Automation Engineer to join their team! You will participate in the software development cycle, by receiving software releases and develop and execute software test plans in order to identify issues and validate that product behaves as specified by requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Devise and implement test strategies that adequately assess all software aspects
• Work with the extended team to create Test Plans from Customer Requirments Documents
• Perform manual test cases to understand detailed software requirements
• Contribute to test automation infrastructure
• Participate in the design and development for test automation and support
• Develop and monitor automated tests with JUnit and Selenium Web Driver
• Develop tests for Java Thick Clients with Joomla
• Install / Update / Patch released software
• Configure software to end-customer's needs
• Investigate and recreate reported defects
• Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues
• Track and document all testing defects and resolutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in software development, quality assurance, and specifically functional testing
• Experience with Selenium Web Driver
• Experience with automated testing of Java Thick Clients
• Good knowledge of Linux system administration and installation
• Familiarity with XML, JSON and other configuration file formats
• Ability to review logs and identify issues
• Root-cause analysis skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
